Quality Assurance and Management System
Quality Policy:

SABA Engineering plc is committed to satisfy customers' needs and to meet their expectations by providing on time quality service. The Management and Employees' commitment to continuous improvement and customers’ satisfaction is the foundation for achieving our quality objectives. SABA desires to provide high quality services to its customers and excel all competitors in its areas of activates. To attain its goals and objectives, the company has embarked on implementation of Quality Management based on ISO 9001:2008-requirements.

Quality Assurance and Management Services

Management of SABA Engineering plc believes that in any market situation, fulfilling the customers’ requirement and going beyond his/her expectation creates a competitive advantage while the process of passing through such renovations will benefit SABA to accrue valuable experience and loyal customers, and in the belief of this, the Quality Assurance and Management Service was structured and launched. The Quality Assurance and Management Service (QAMS) is responsible for determining the most value adding, effective, efficient and consistent ways to use the basic factors of production --people, machines, materials, information, and energy – in realizing a product or providing a service.

QAMS is the bridge between management goals and operational performance of SABA Engineering plc, and is more concerned with increasing quality and productivity through early interference and consultation with respect to managing people, methods of business organization, as well as the technology of realization of products/services with the right focus on the processes of the organization.

In solving organizational, production, and problems related with processes most efficiently, QAMS carefully designs requirements, use proven methods such as operations research to meet those requirements, and design management, manufacturing and information systems, as applicable. The QAMS develops management control systems to assist in financial planning and cost analysis and design/production/service planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product/service quality.

Currently QAMS is implementing ISO 9000 Quality Management System meeting the standard requirements of ISO 9001:2008 in all branches of SABA Engineering plc except the Material Testing Laboratory and Debretabor Concrete Pole Plant which are divisions that will soon commence the development and implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Conformity Assessment for Testing and Calibration Laboratories and ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System-requirements respectively as one of the methods to satisfy customer requirement, to bring about excellence in organizational capacity and to gain competitive advantage in the market

Services currently provided by the Quality Assurance and Management Services:

  • Planning ,organizing ,directing and supervising the overall activities of the services as one system
  • Developing and Implementing ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System –requirements ,ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Conformity Assessment for Testing and Calibration Laboratories and designing the methods enabling the application
  • Establishing system review ,evaluation and improvement schemes
  • Making sure the availability ,clarity and maintenance of the system
  • Continually creating awareness of the impact of the involvement of people/employees for the company wide quality system in the services and products delivered by SABA Engineering plc
  • Conducting customer satisfaction survey
  • Facilitating system audit, management review, corrective action and preventive action
  • System related document and/or record keeping and controlling
