| Construction Department

The Construction Department of Saba Engineering is one of the five operational departments
of the company organized to provide a full range of expert services in the construction
of Civil and Electromechanical works and supply of electromechanical materials and equipment.
In Civil construction sector it has achieved experience in civil works of Debretabor
Concrete Pole Factory i.e. Factory Building Design, Construction of Building, Concrete
foundations for high vibration machines and internal gravel access roads. In addition
to that, the Civil Works department has finished its preparation and it is ready to perform design and construction of roads and other civil works at the moment.

The
Debretabor Concrete Pole Factory is one of the best and most advanced factories
and currently manufacturing pre-stressed Rectangular & Spun types of poles that
ranges from 8 meters height to 12 meters height. The load capacities of these poles run from 300 daN to 1250 daN while the minimum
and maximum rectangular poles dimension ranges from top 100mmx180mm to 140mmx180mm
and bottom 100mmx370mm to 140mmx390mm.

Also, the spun poles dimension ranges from
inside diameter top 130mm to 160mm, outside diameter top 220mm to 320mm and inside
diameter bottom 236mm to 320mm, outside diameter bottom 326mm to 480mm. The Debretabor
Concrete Pole Factory has currently the capacity to produce 150 rectangular shapes
and 250 spun type poles per day and it is supplying
two separate Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation
projects. In addition, we have one of the best in house design capabilities conforming
to international standards using latest soft wares to suit any requirements of pre-stressed
concrete poles.

The electromechanical works division is a unit set under the construction department
and is currently involved in Power System Design and Construction works such as power distribution lines, transmission lines, substations and electro-mechanical erection. It has experience in design and construction of Power Distribution
Line with wooden and concrete poles and switch gear installation in rural electrification
program of Ethiopia. Some of the towns that benefited from this program are:
In Northern Part (Amara Zone) thirteen (13) towns completed and commissioned - Gint
, Walideba, Chalia Deber, Chandeba, Sertya Warkeye, Ber Mariam, Chewber, Wequin
Zuria, Talak Mesk, Yekrar Zebzab, Narchacha, Dequa, Genete (Kenebew), while other
four (4) towns are
in process (Kesha, Ashere, Yayira, Janbelew,).

In the Southern Part (Kefa Zone) ten (10) towns are completed and commissioned (Beha,
Bobagecha, Small Chiri, Gedam, kuti, Ogeya, Uffa, Degeli, Keja, Yina) while the
other two (2) towns are in process (Meligawa, Yoka). The major professional services
