Addis Block Production Share Company was a governmental
enterprise with more than 250 permanent employees. Addis Block formerly called Building
Materials Research Center (BMRC) was initially established as a pilot plant for
low cost housing in 1976. Later, the Enterprise was transformed in to a share company in December 1999
with a total paid up capital of Birr 14,245,000.
Bole –Bulbula Stone production is situated in
Addis Ababa
on a total concession area of 508,073 sqm. The area encompasses
three different sites, namely Bole-Bulbula, Bole –Belu and Tana Beles. It was established
in 1979 E.C. under the then Mineral resource Development Cooperation of the Ministry
of Mines and Energy. It was re-established as a share company in 1992 E.C with an
authorized capital of 5.891 million and a paid up a capital of 5.443 million Birr.
